Control Software for Agricultural Machinery

Reference Project

AGCO Feucht GmbH ranks among the leaders in the demanding segment of forage harvesting machinery and is successfully represented internationally with a comprehensive range of drum and disk mowers, hay tedders and rakes. The 100% AGCO subsidiary FELLA in Feucht near Nuremberg builds mowers, hay tedders and rakes for the Fella, Fendt and Massey Ferguson brands.

Since the first project in 2011, which focused on the development of software for controlling and operating a butterfly mower, the ISOBUS Experts from OSB AG have been the development partner of choice when it comes to control software for all ISOBUS machines developed and produced in Feucht.

Operation via ISOBUS and GPS-based Control System

Implementation

On the basis of the open source solution, ISOAgLib, which enables implementation of the ISO-11783 standard for electronic data communication in mobile machinery, the ISOBUS Experts at OSB AG are developing the entire control software on Rexroth controllers for the agricultural machinery of the brands FELLA, Fendt and Massey Ferguson built in Feucht.

In the case of mowers and rakes, not only was operation via ISOBUS UT implemented but also GPS-based control via ISOBUS Section Control. The processing of tasks involving variable rate technology and data logging is also possible.

Results
